Exotic Fishing Thailand is a new and exciting Thai fishing resort .
The resort plan is established and now in motion . There will be many hurdles to cross but with determination , a lot of hard work and a lot of patience , the goal is to open in spring 2014.
The resort will be located in the beautiful Phang Nga area of southern Thailand only 40 minutes from Phuket International Airport .
The Facility will be operated by myself Mike Bailey and my Fiance Boom .
I will manage the lake and fishing side of the business while Boom will oversee the Spa , Restaurant operations and guest accommodations.
I have designed the lake myself and tried to make each swim have its own special features to offer the angler different fishing opportunities. To see how each swim fishes you will have to give them all a try :)
The Resort will include the following ;-

-The Restaurant and bar .
-The Day Spa.
-Swimming pool.
-Gift and necessities shop.
-Full internet throughout the resort.

THE FISH of E.F.T
As the resort will open 2 years from now this gives us lots of time to carefully purchase and also grow some of our fish .
We have rented numerous stock ponds and are already growing some interesting species.
The Arapaima stock pond. Our biggest purchase to date are 10 Arapaimas over 100lbs . These fish should be in the 200lb+ range when we open...
We have another 50 Arapaimas being delivered soon which we will grow to approximately 70 to 100lbs by resort opening .
We have Amazon Redtail catfish , Arawanas and some giant snakeheads on the grow in this pond..
In the 3rd pond we have some other interesting new arrivals .
Tiger Shovelnose Catfish are already a good starting size so they will grow fast from here on in .
Niger or Ripsaw catfish . The blades down the lateral line dont look dangerous yet but when this baby is a little bigger they must be respected as they become razor sharp.
This Zebra Shovelnose Catfish will be absolutely beautiful once it grows and its colours fully develop.
200 Amazon Redtail catfish .. We will check these fish in 6 months and see how much they have grown. We expect 20lbs plus in 2 years.
These Arawanas are only tiny now but they will be around 30inches in 2 years
We will obviously be buying bigger fish once the lake is ready but these smaller fish are our future stock.It is much cheaper to grow them in advance than to buy them 2 years from now.We also know that we will get maximum growth rates if we grow them ourselves.

THE RESTAURANT and BAR
As the Resort will be in a secluded location we will have our own Restaurant , Bar and Shop
The restaurant will be open from 8am and throughout the day for breakfast lunch and dinner.
We will have an extensive Menu with Thai specialties and British and European favorites.
There will also be a Bailey BBQ section featuring some grilled favorites from Canada.
A full breakfast will be included in your fishing/accommodation package and served till 12 noon.
The bar will be open from noon onward with daily and sunset cocktail , beer and wine specials .
All menu and cocktail items will be available in your fishing swims or by the pool . Our dedicated around the lake service team will be available to serve you from dawn till dusk.

We will have a selection of exclusive resort bungalows and also fisherman's bungalows.
This way you can treat yourself to something special or work within a budget .

THE SPA
The resort will have its own Spa on the premises so the fisherman,s partners can be pampered while the boys are catching the fish of their dreams. The Spa's extensive menu is expertly designed to Relax, Revitalize and unwind after a busy days fishing .
Boom has been the manager of Kata Day Spa for 3 years and has extensive Spa management experience She will be selecting and training only the best Spa staff. The Spa menu will be posted soon .

ACTIVITIES AND DAY TRIPS
When your arms are tired from reeling in fish here are so many things to do in the Phang Nga area.
Day trips and activities include ;-
-Whitewater rafting , Elephant trekking ,Waterfalls and cave tours.
-Golfing .There are 2 challenging 18 hole golf courses in the Phang Nga and Khao lac area with many other excellent courses within 1 hour of the resort.
-Daily Island tours are close by and even a sunset dinner cruise of Phang Nga bay can be easily arranged . The famous James Bond island tour is almost on our doorstep.
-Snorkeling and diving trips for the day or take a side trip and stay for longer.
-Hiking and biking.
-Nightlife tours to see Thai Boxing, Simon Cabaret or Phuket Fantasea .
