October has been a very exciting month for fishing here at Exotic Fishing Thailand with friends visiting from Germany , Belgium , Indonesia ,Australia, the UK and of course locally here in Thailand.

I have always been strong believer in the saying that "a picture is worth a thousand words", so rather than bore you with lots of irrelevant details I will let these pics of awesome fish and smiling faces speak for themselves ..

The Arapaimas are the obvious big stars so far with 5 Arapaimas being the most in one day . This has happened a few times already and there have been lots of 3 fish days ..

ONE STOP FISHING FOR A FANTASTIC SELECTION OF INTERESTING FISH SPECIES

We have just added some of our final fish for our initial stocking of the main lake . This wide selection of different fish species gives anglers the opportunity to catch fish from all over the world in one location .We understand the draw of catching these incredible species in their natural habitat but here at Exotic Fishing Thailand you can catch fish from Europe , Africa , Asia, Australia, India, North America ,South America and of course Thailand all in one lake.

Fishing is all catch and release so that our children can also enjoy these amazing fish. Some of these fish are already endangered or simply just not accessible for the average angler to catch on a limited budget ..

A nice Atlantic Tarpon. Our Tarpon have all been converted to fresh water and are packing on the pounds.

The Chinese Black Carp is primarily a snail eater in the wild but they have been growing nicely on pellet and batu.

We have a quite a few Jau catfish already and are growing more .. These Amazon species are known to grow over 100lbs.

Another nice Vundu Catfish . The biggest of the African Catfish..

This Wallagoo Lieri is just a beast at over 100lbs.. This fish would be a world record when caught..

Another nice sized Siamese ..We have fish to 30 kg and many other Carp species.

I love this native Thai fish the Black Shark Minnow..

Another treasured native Thai Carp species is the Juliens..

This interesting looking Catfish is the Rita and is native to India and some other specific rivers in Asian including the Salween River in Thailand.

We have both Nile perch and Barramundi as seen in the photo.

A beautiful Marble catfish which is also getting to a nice size.

ARAPAIMAS ON THE MOVE AGAIN .

We have spent the last 2 weeks netting our stock ponds and moving a lot of our fish into our main lake . Most fish are easy to move but the Arapaimas can be tricky .

These fish are very unpredictable.

We use 5 people on smaller fish and 7 people on 100kg plus fish ..

Even with 5 people holding the fish firmly in the blankets we use to move the fish it only takes one quick shot from even a smaller 50kg Arapaima and someone could have a broken rib or worse.

Once the fish are in the main lake we let them rest and take a few breaths before releasing them .

All our fish have adjusted well to the main lake . The water quality is excellent and very similar to the ponds which the fish are moved from .

We have had a few fatalities in our fish moves from Bangkok due to the distance but it has been a very small percentage . We are always trying to improve our method of transport and handling all our fish .

There are still more fish coming from our offsite ponds. We are also continuing to grow our onsite stock so we always have new fish to add to the main lake to keep the catch rates up as the current stock get smarter ..

We have had some great success growing our Tiger Shovelnose Catfish.

It was a nice surprise to see how big these Tigers have grown in the past year when I caught them to move to the main lake.

The markings on these fish are simply incredible...

This was one of the fattest Tiger Shovelnose we put in the main lake..

Here is one of our Thai guides Ched with another nice fish

Another awesome Shovelnose. I cant wait to gets some photos with customers holding these fish ..Will you be the first ??

We are always growing new stock for our lake . We have several different sizes of Tigers growing in our tanks and ponds . Our goal is to keep your fishing fun and interesting . We do this by continuing to introduce large numbers of different Exotic species..It wont be long before we have even more Tigers swimming around the lake .
